Indian Head Massage
Indian Head Massage (IHM) has its origins in India and dates back to 600BC. It has developed in the West as a popular complementary therapy consisting of massage techniques performed on the upper back, shoulders, scalp and face.
What it involves
Following consultation, treatment is given with the client lying on the treatment couch. Back and shoulders may be treated first before turning over to work on the head, neck and face. The client remains clothed, and no oils are used on the scalp though organic Rose facial oil or coconut oil may be used on the face.
Specific massage techniques are applied to the upper back, shoulders, face, neck and scalp, focussing on relaxing tight muscles and pressure points to reduce stress and increase well-being.
*Can be combined with other treatments for the ultimate relaxing experience - choose from Facial Reflexology, Traditional Reflexology, Hopi Ear Candling or Reiki
